Nurse Aid Training Program

Course Description:   

The Nurse Aide program is a comprehensive course designed to teach students the fundamental skills needed to provide basic care to those in need. Nurse Aides can work in a variety of patient care areas ranging from nursing homes, hospice, hospitals, home care, and more. The Nurse Aide I Program includes a combination of classroom learning, laboratory practice, and supervised hands-on clinical training in a Long-Term Care facility. Monday-Friday or Saturday only classes are offered.

CNA Training: 88 hours (2.5 weeks)*

Weekday Class Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 am-6 pm/or Evening 4 pm- 8 pm

Weekend Class Schedule: Saturdays 10 am-7 pm

Phlebotomy Technician Program

Course Description:

The Phlebotomy Technician program is a comprehensive course designed to teach students the skills needed to perform safe venipuncture.  Students will be trained to perform a variety of blood collection methods using proper techniques and precautions including vacuum collection devices, syringes, capillary skin punctures, butterfly needles, and blood culture specimen collection on adults, children, and infants. Students will have lecture, lab, and internship experiences during training. Students must complete at least 30 venipunctures and 10 capillary sticks on live individuals to qualify for graduation from the program. After the successful completion of this course, students may sit for the National Healthcareer Association exam to become nationally certified phlebotomy technicians (CPT).
